The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is sassa status to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The company point developed for intervention encounters a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to permit the servicing of all buyers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
